FIRE SPRINKLER TESTING
Precise calibration of fire sprinklers that is accurate, reliable, and done in a manner that satisfies all industry standards.
OUR PROCESS – INSIDE OUR LAB
Every sample that arrives at our facility goes through a structured intake process. We log make, model, year, type, and mounting position for each head, then group samples into batches. Each head is run through our RTI machine — a destructive test that measures response time against the defined temperature and airflow conditions required by code. Once a batch is complete, results are exported directly to our customer portal, reviewed through QC, and individual reports and invoices are issued per order. Because testing is inherently destructive, it must be performed by an independent third-party lab.
All Sprinkler Head Types
We test wet-type, dry-type, residential, commercial, ESFR, Quick Response, and Standard Response heads.
NFPA 25 Compliance
Our testing is governed by NFPA 25, the standard for inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems.
AHJ
We also accommodate jurisdiction-specific requirements from any local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
Select Standards
We use standards traceable to international references, selected to match (or exceed) your instrument’s range and accuracy needs.
Execute & Adjust
In our independent lab, we test sprinklers for response time and operation, documenting RTI, activation, and any failure modes.
Manage & Improve
Track assets, intervals, certificates, and reports in LAW CMS (Calibration Management Software). We also conduct periodic reviews to refine your program.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Sprinkler contractors are the primary users of this service. If you’re responsible for maintaining or certifying a sprinkler system under NFPA 25, your heads need to be sampled and tested at code-specified intervals.
Third-party testing is required. Sprinkler head testing is a destructive process, and NFPA 25 mandates it be performed by an independent laboratory. It cannot be self-performed.
Yes, but the common misconception is that there are only one or two options in the market. LAW Technical offers competitive pricing, faster turnaround, and direct customer support as a real alternative.
Our testing operates under ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation — the international standard for testing and calibration laboratory competence.
